Justice Studies Reverse Career Fair
Airmeet

On Tuesday, May 18, 2021 select students will break the mold of the traditional career fair. Will you be there?

Career fairs, by design, place power in the hands of employers; they are the stars of the show, waiting for student talent to approach them. We believe the spotlight can be reversed.

Let’s shine it on the real stars: Students!

Students will be selected to participate in a revolutionary career fair that places students behind tables virtually via Airmeets. Employers will be invited based on those students’ interests and will be required to be in a position to offer full-time jobs with their respective organizations.

If you’re seeking a full-time job in Justice Studies and are willing to break the traditional career fair, you must connect with your career counselor for further information.

If you would like to polish your resume before submission, please make an appointment with your career counselor no later than one week before the reverse career fair.

Ageism in the Job Search
Online Via Zoom

Ageism in the Job Search (that’s getting as old as we are!)

As more people re-invent themselves based on Pandemic outlooks and their own personal story, Ageism in the job search process has become even more pervasive.

What can we do to present ourselves in the most positive way?

How can we portray a successful blend of “old world experience” and an “in the moment skill set” in an authentic and professional manner?

This workshop will discuss the dreaded 17 page resume, the inconsistent LinkedIn profile, and some of the concerns anyone over 55 is facing today. And guess what? A 63 year old will be running the workshop…will you join me, Amy Soricelli, Vice President of Career Services at Berkeley College.
